The Vasara MCP connector lets you bring Vasara's legal tools – including Lithuanian and EU legal sources – directly into Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft 365 Copilot. Once connected, you can use Vasara's features without leaving your chat window.

Security and data handling

• Encryption in transit. All communication between the AI client (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) and the Vasara MCP server runs over encrypted HTTPS.
• Authentication. The connector uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, the authentication method required by the MCP standard. Users sign in with their existing Vasara account; no separate password is created for the AI client.
• Access control. Access is granted at the user level, not the organization level, and can be revoked at any time from Vasara account settings or the AI client's connector list.
• Access scope. The connector only exposes the read-only tools and data the user is already entitled to use in their Vasara account.
• Data storage and use. User requests are processed within the EU.
• Regulatory compliance. Vasara operates with GDPR and the EU AI Act in mind.

Claude

1. "Customize" (left sidebar) → "Connectors" → "Add" → "Add custom connector", or
   follow this link: https://claude.ai/new?modal=add-custom-connector#settings/customize-connectors
2. Enter:
   • Name: Vasara
   • MCP server URL: https://mcp.vasara.ai
3. Click "Add", then "Connect" and sign in to your Vasara account.

ChatGPT

Requires a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu account. This feature is currently in beta.

1. "Settings" → "Apps & Connectors" → "Advanced settings" at the bottom → turn on Developer mode (one-time step).
2. "Settings" → "Connectors" → "Create".
3. Enter:
   • Connector name: Vasara
   • Description: Vasara AI legal assistant
   • Connector URL: https://mcp.vasara.ai
4. Click "Create" and sign in to your Vasara account.
5. To use it in a conversation: click "+" next to the message box → "More" → enable "Vasara".

Microsoft 365 Copilot (for your organization's IT admin)

Unlike Claude and ChatGPT, individual users cannot add this connector themselves — an IT administrator configures it once for the entire organization.

Requirements:

• Global Administrator or AI Administrator role in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
• Access to the Teams Developer Portal (dev.teams.microsoft.com).
• An SSO or OAuth 2.0 registration ID, created in the Teams Developer Portal before creating the connector.

Creating the connector:

1. Sign in to admin.microsoft.com.
2. In the left pane: "Copilot" → "Connectors" → the "Gallery" tab.
3. Under "Created by your org", click "Create a new connector" → "Add".
4. On the "Custom connector" page, under "Connect to MCP server" → "Add".
5. Enter:
   • Display name: Vasara
   • Base URL: https://mcp.vasara.ai
6. Enter the SSO or OAuth registration ID obtained earlier.
7. Click "Save".

Rolling out to users: the connector appears in the "Your Connections" list. We recommend running a "Staged rollout" to a test group first, then selecting "Deploy to all users".
